The monthly data allowance

Each plan includes an amount of data a month: what your shares and sites send to visitors, added up across all of them. ouicu's own pages, like the notice and the password page, don't count. Months are calendar months in UTC.

You can see where you are at the top of the Shares page, under Account, or from the API.

250 MB a visitor a day

One visitor can take at most 250 MB a day from one share or site. Past that, they see a page saying they've opened a lot of it today, until the next day in UTC. Nobody else is affected, and a stranger can't use up your month.

Past the allowance

  • Your previews pause. Visitors see a page saying so, after any password, until the month turns or you move to a bigger plan.
  • ouicu share and ouicu deploy are refused, with the date they work again.
  • You get one email that month saying so.

Pausing deletes nothing. Counts catch up every half minute, so a busy preview can go a little past the allowance before it pauses.
